The Government recently announced some exemptions to the 4% annual limit on trade out of irrigation areas. This is to better align the Commonwealth’s environmental water buybacks with the $2 billion investment in the Northern Victoria Irrigation Renewal Project to modernise Victoria’s irrigation system.
The Trading Rules have been revised to facilitate this, and the 4% limit reporting has now been revised to provide further information.
